Methodist Men’s Fellowship, a fellowship of Men who seek the Lord Jesus Christ, to witness for Him whenever and wherever possible and be honest in words and deeds and thereby assisting and supporting the Church in its various activities with special focus on missions and outreach. This group is open to all men above 25 years.
Monthly fellowship
We meet once a month on every 4th Saturday at 7:30 AM at church and over zoom. We have a time of singing Praise and worship songs led by one of the MMF members followed by a message by a speaker (either from outside or from within our church or one of our pastors). Topics discussed are usually centered around issues that pertain to men. We are currently dealing with how men can be effective spiritual heads of their respective homes.
Annual Camp
Every year the MMF plan for a camp around 15th August. A place of significance to the Christian mission movement in India is usually chosen as the camp venue. This helps the members to experience the history of Indian missions. The camp also helps in enriching the bond among the members of the MMF and strengthens the fellowship.
Methodist Men’s Sunday
The 3rd Sunday in November is celebrated as Methodist Men Sunday. The members of the MMF present special songs, a video presentation of the camp and lead the service.
Visiting sick
The MMF periodically visit those who are sick and are unable to attend church. This is a great way to extend our fellowship with those who are unable to have regular fellowship at church.
Andiyur project
The Andiyur project was taken up as a MMF supported project and the MMF provides the rental for the church premises from the funds collected through the MMF subscription. In addition the MMF extended help in the form of provisions to the church members in Andiyur as well as financial help to the pastor.
One day city Tour
The MMF conducted a one-day city tour to the churches in Chennai which are significant to the establishment of Christianity in the city. The tour was very educational and an eye-opener to many members.
COVID – Response
The MMF donated to the various initiatives of the church during these times of the pandemic – funding to the various governmental projects and to the church’s own social concern projects. The MMF also helped the pastor of the MMF outreach at Andiyur during these times.
