My CANCER journey with Jesus

Last year on this day I had to undergo surgery to remove a lump in my left breast. I always used to think that getting healed from an illness is a miracle. But in my case the true miracle was that God gave me the wisdom to identify the problem at an early stage – a true miracle.

It was stage 2.

When the treatment process was explained to me I was so scared of Chemotherapy and asked the Lord to exempt me from Chemo. To my great relief my oncologist tested my biopsy samples further and said I need not undergo chemotherapy. I was given 16 sittings of radiation and medication after that. During the entire process I took my solace from the following verse which kept coming to my mind.

Isaiah 43:2

...when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned;

Yesterday at my annual review with MRI and Ultrasound, my oncologist assured me that I am normal and in good health.

Our God is a God who is merciful always. Be assured that I am a witness to that.
