Alosanai – The Counselling Ministry of Emmanuel Methodist Church Chennai, in keeping with its Vision and Mission statement, was started in the year 2017. The purpose and service of Alosanai is not new, it is a revival of what it used to be “The Soul Clinic” within the church premises.

Nurture through counselling and teaching, the spiritual well-being of individuals based on God’s word as it relates to their emotional, relational and mental health needs.
Alosanai the Counselling center practices Christian Counselling based on sound biblical principles. The counsellors are trained by “Person to Person” (PtP), Institute for Christian counselling and the course accredited by The Association of Christian Counselling – South Asia.
The Counsellors are trained to counsel Social, Emotional, Spiritual problems of individuals and groups. Issues such as anxiety, depression, excessive fear, worry, anger, study habits, communication problems. Interpersonal matters such as marital problems and family problems are also addressed. Referral service is done whenever necessary.
The Alosanai Center is situated in the church premises ensuring a comfortable, quiet place maintaining confidentiality. It consists of a reception area and two cubicles that are soundproof.
Counsellors also visit nearby schools and schools founded by the church, offer counselling to students in groups and one to one counselling.
During COVID Lockdown, Alosanai started tele-counselling in association with The Kirk, The London Missionary Church and Christian Counsellors Forum, Chennai called “COVID Listening Ear“.
Tele-Counselling programme will continue as part of Alosanai.

Those who need counselling may meet the counsellors by prior appointment. The Center operates from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays.
